Many days I say the following thing..."Ugh...I have no motivation to get up and go outside." And it seems as of lately, that phrase has been uttered more days than not.

Wood Working Wednesdays - Turning a Figured Maple Bowl
Because life on the farm isn't busy enough...I decided several years ago that I wanted to add woodworking to my resume. I started off with rolling pins because I figured how could one mess up a basic rolling pin. Well let me tell you...one can mess up a basic rolling pin!

A Day in the Life...
A day in the life of The REAL Housewife of Snohomish County isn't glamorous. I know, I know...I'm bursting the bubble of your view of my reality...right? Well, it had to be done at some point.

Long Time Gone
Okay...so I have *not* been around in quite some time! Blogging has fallen by the wayside, as it has many times in the past, but now I honestly feel like I need to get back to my roots.

This Five Month Journey
Over the last five months I've set out on a journey that I wasn't really intending to be on. And during this journey I've had to confront head on two of the dirtiest words that kept coming at me.

What's Your Word Worth?
So I won't even begin to beat around the bush when it comes to my absence from blogging. After the events of our remodel last winter, I was a bit beaten down. Things got off schedule, I got irritated, and have yet to finish the blogs about the remodel. One day...one day those will get finished. But until that time...I think it's okay if I move on to other things that are weighing on me. That's what this is all about, right?

B.P. Farms - REAL Remodel - Week 4
This blog post is about 5 days later than I initially planned for it to happen...and I wish that I had a good excuse. I don't really have a good one per se...so let me tell you some that I've come up with.

B.P. Farms - REAL Remodel - Week 2
Last week may have seemed like a whirlwind, but it was just a taste of what this week had in store for us. Getting ready for the actual construction to start proved to be challenging, and even a bit tense for us at times.

Change: Scary or Fun?
I've been thinking lately about how much our lives have changed over the course of one year. To some that may be a scary thing, while others thrive on change and the challenges that come with it. I like to think that I fall somewhere in the middle of those two. But I guess that depends on the day.

Life and Loss on the Farm
We've had an unusually warm winter, minus the 3 inches of snow that we got at the end of November. And because of the warmth, new life is popping up around me everywhere I look. The ornamental fruit trees are in full bloom, the lilac bush in our backyard is budding out, as well as some of the trees around the property. But as anyone with a farm knows, with life...comes loss.

What's Your Secret?
Secrets...they can be large, small, harmless or hurtful...and we all have them. Today I'm going to confess a few things to you...some of them I'm not proud of...while others, I guess you do what you have to do. But don't get me wrong, not all secrets are horrible, deep and dark. They come in all shapes and sizes.

New Year...New Additions!
Well friends, I honestly can't believe that we are into 2015...and already a week into February! I think with all of the changes that happened in the middle of last year...that sped things up for us and time just flew by!

2014 - A Year in Review
Well folks...2014 flew by so fast that I'm not quite sure what really happened and if most of it was a dream or not. And here we are half way through the first month of a new year! It truly is amazing how much has happened in the past year...and how many people are now on this journey with me.

Final Day in Paris...Shopping, Wheel & Food - France Vacation -- Day 12
It is so hard to believe that today was our final full day here in Paris. It seems like we just got here yesterday...but at the same time it feels like we've been here for months. Do you ever get that feeling when you are on any vacation?
Lazy Morning follwed by Châtea de Vincennes and the Top of the Tower - France Vacation -- Day 11
Bonjour mes amis! Today was a rather low key day in the morning, then packed full of walking and fun in the afternoon. This post won't be as heavy as the last one...I promise. But in all honesty, I'm happy that I had the chance to write the last post.

Arromanches 360, D-Day and Back to Paris - France Vacation -- Day 10
Yesterday was a rather long and emotion filled day. We arrived back in Paris at around 11:30 PM and reached our flat at around midnight. The events of the day were weighing quite heavily on my heart so I decided to put off writing this post until today.

Paris to Normandy: Le Mont Saint-Michel et Crépon - France Vacation -- Day 9
It's funny to me that it wasn't long ago that I was waking up in the morning to go feed the chickens and do my morning chores. Today I woke up to get ready long before the sun rose, to catch the train to Rennes to start our two day trip on the Normandy Coast of Northern France.

Mustard and Relaxation - France Vacation -- Day 8
Bonjour, mes amis! Today was our one day of down time in Paris between our trip to the Loire and our trip tomorrow to Normandy. And I think that we took full advantage of this day in many ways!
